Servolution Week is April 16th - 23th

We’re kicking Servolution 2011 into high gear with “Servolution Week” from April 15-24. We want to express Christ’s love through simple acts of kindness and have set an audacious and ambitious goal of 1,000 hours of service in a single week. We’re challenging everyone to serve a shift at the Great Easter Bash AND at least one other project that week. Will you partner with us to bring Jesus’ example to our community? Project #2 – Saturday, 4/16: Build a Habitat for Humanity home! We're partnering with 9 other organizations in our community to build a Habitat for Humanity house in Lebanon. Each group is providing the resources and labor for one Saturday to provide a family with a home. We’ll have 2 shifts: 8 AM-noon and noon-4 PM. We're going to need LOTS of volunteers for both construction & for providing lunch, so I hope you’ll plan on helping with this incredible project. If you have construction experience, then please consider being a team leader of 4-5 other people.
Project #3 - Sunday, 4/17 at 3:15PM: Have an Easter egg hunt at Belvedere Commons! We will be hosting a “neighborhood indoor egg hunt” for the residents of the Belvedere Commons Senior Living Center. Bring a dozen eggs with sugar-free sweets. The kids will help hide (& probably find!) the eggs with the residents. We’ll also sing some songs & have a good time.  Meet at Belvedere at 3:15PM to hide eggs.  Contact Debbie Neeley @ mimi53@comcast.net for more information.
Project #4 - Sunday, 4/17 at 1PM: Beautify Lakeview Elementary! We’ll do landscaping & clean-up projects here at Lakeview to benefit the school.  Bring yard tools like rakes, gloves, hedge trimmers, clippers, etc.  We will work from 1-3PM at Lakeview Elementary.  Contact Michelle LaBelle @ mlabelle38@yahoo.com for more information.
Project #5 - Monday, 4/18: Play at Providence Assisted Living Center! The YOUTH GROUP will be having a blast with the residents as we decorate cookies, play bingo, sing some songs, and distribute gift baskets.
Project #6 - Tuesday, 4/19: Serve lunch at the Hope Center at 9:30AM! ALL WOMEN are invited as we serve at the Hope Women's Center in downtown Nashville from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM. We'll be preparing & serving lunch for these amazing ladies who in a very real sense are 'rebooting' their lives. Even if you're not able to come on Tuesday, we're hoping that you will bring a homemade dessert with you on Sunday, April 17.  To carpool meet at Wal-Mart by gas pumps at 9:30.  We will begin serving lunch at 11:00.  The location is 1716 Rosa Parks Blvd.  Contact Toshya Savell @ 566.0470 for more information.

Project #7 - Tuesday, 4/19 at 6PM: Kids’ “reverse” Easter egg hunt! HEY KIDS! We will be surprising local retail workers in Mt. Juliet & Hermitage by thanking them for the way they serve our community and then delivering bags of Easter goodies. The gift will be unexpected - just like God's love!  Meet in the parking lot across from Chick-fil-a in Providence.  Contact Shana Watson @ 587.8367 for more information.
Project #8 - Wednesday, 4/20 at 6PM: Come to a baby shower for Pregnancy Care Center! Project #10 - Monday, 4/18: Serve the construction workers on Mt. Juliet Road! We’ll deliver bottled water & snacks to as many workers as possible.
  Project #11 - Friday, 4/22: Have a neighborhood Carnival at 10:30AM! We’ll serve free food for everyone in the trailer park across the street from the CITY (11853 Lebanon Road). We’ll have chips, hotdogs and drinks.  We'll also do face painting, a corn hole contest, free portraits and an inflatable for the kids.  Meet at the trailer park at 10:30 to help setup.  Contact Jason Minton @ 202.9677 for more information.
  Project #12 - Friday, 4/22 at 9:30AM: Collect & deliver items to the Mt. Juliet Help Center! We’ll be collecting flour, sugar, canned beans (anything other than green beans), jelly, and cake mixes or brownie mixes.  Meet at The CITY on Friday at 9:30AM if you want to help deliver the items.  Contact Wendy Midgett  @ 945.3702 for more information.
  Project #13 - Friday, 4/22: Help with final prep for the Great Easter Bash! We’ll have lots of last-minute tasks Friday evening as we prepare to take our Servolution to a “whole nutha level” at our community Easter Bash.
Project #14 - Saturday, 4/23: Show God’s love at the Great Easter Bash! The church will have officially “left the building” as we have fun giving away 50,000 eggs, 3,000 hot dogs, & lots of love at Charlie Daniels Park. We’ll have 2 shifts: 10 AM-noon and noon-2 PM. The fun will include 18 bouncy inflatables, pony rides, a train ride, balloon animals, cotton candy, hot dogs & more! And it’s all FREE! We’re going to need EVERYONE AGES 12 & UP to help up pull this off, so please sign up for one of our two shifts and then you can just relax and enjoy the event during the other shift. Then pick up your “Church has left the building” T-shirt at the café table to wear that day if you don’t already have one. And be sure to invite your friends and neighbors!!
  Project #15 – Easter Sunday, 4/24 at 2PM: Deliver afternoon goodie bags at MJ Healthcare Center! We’ll deliver a gift to each resident of this nursing home.  There are about 100 residents.  Bring your kids.  Located at 2650 N Mt. Juliet Rd. on the right if you come from Lebanon.  Look for a sign that says Mt. Juliet Health Care Center.  Meet in the lobby at 2PM.  Contact Ashley Ard @ 479.6206 for more information.
