Jenny White

Our Minister of Youth, Jenny White, grew up in Evansville, Indiana. Jenny spent her first two years of college at Huntington University in northern Indiana, where she majored in Youth Ministries and Foreign Missions. She is currently completing her degree through Liberty University Online, so that she might spend as much time as possible with youth. Jenny spent 3 years in high school working with Young Life, a para-church organization, and then spent 2 years as the leader of the middle school WYLD Life branch in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Jenny met her husband, Travis, in the summer of 2008, while working at a Young Life camp in Florida. Travis grew up in Augusta, Georgia, so both are brand new to the Nashville area. The two were married August 8, 2009 and moved to Hermitage, where they now work with The Friendship youth.

Jenny and Travis are both committed to being an example of a strong family, godly leaders, and loving youth. Jenny enjoys all things artistic, playing outside, lounging around with her husband, and trying to cook!

A note from Jenny: Hey there! I’m so excited to be working with Friendship Community Church! We have some very exciting things happening in our youth group. We have an amazing new building, a growing numbers of students learning about and accepting Christ, and fun relationships being made.

We call our youth group The CITY, which stands for

Christ Is Transforming Youth.

Students from different schools, ages, and home situations are coming together weekly to have fun in a safe environment, have positive role models, and form new friendships.

We have some amazing volunteer leaders, who give of themselves to share the good news of Jesus Christ and just live life with students. I believe that the best way to share Christ is just by being present and living out Christ’s example.

As leaders of the Friendship Community Church youth group we are committed to being where kids are, loving them as they are, and challenging them to take the next step towards Christ from wherever they are. I would love to meet your student!
