Already Paid 4
Who "already paid for" my stuff?
You probably came to AlreadyPaid4.com because someone did something nice for you – and you never expected it! It was a surprising act of kindness. Unexpected – but not accidental. Someone deliberately chose to pay what you owed.
Why would somebody do that for me?
If you study Jesus’ words, you will find that He did something outrageous for you – he "paid a debt" for you in a way that is even more shocking than what you recently experienced. A little over 2,000 years ago, Jesus walked on this earth and showed God's love in ways that a lot of people considered outrageous. He taught us to love others by being kind and generous. He demonstrated for us the "Golden Rule" that we should care for other people the same way we would want them to care for us.
Someone took that idea seriously and decided to do something outrageously nice for you. Simple. Unexpected. Meaningful. What did they do? Pay for your meal at a drive thru? Pick up the tab for your grande peppermint mocha at Starbucks? It was shocking, wasn’t it?
So why would someone living in middle Tennessee in this day & time take Jesus’ teaching seriously?
The answer to that is really quite simple. It's because they wanted you to know this timeless truth: God loves you. No matter what. He knows all about you and loves you anyway. He knows what you did, what you said, what you thought. And He still loves you. AND He wants you to experience that love in an authentic relationship with him.
That's a good thing...
...because we can never be good enough to deserve it. But Jesus loves you so much that he paid your debt to make forgiveness possible. And that's something that we all desperately need. And the way to receive it is to ask Jesus to completely cancel the debt you owe and to be the CEO of your life. It's that simple. Simple, but not easy.
